So often we think we need to jump in the car to drive, sometimes a long trip to capture an exciting and compelling photo. Yet the photo that will grap attention may be within the arms reach.

This may give us an opportunity to think out side the box. The obects for consideration are limited only be your imagination. The could be flowers, plants, a stationary object or object d'art are what ever captures your attention. Insects are offen a great subject.

You can begin with a simple point and shoot camers but you may want to graduate to a DSLR camera and a true 1:1 Macro lens. Other handware my be considered such as focusing rails, extension tubes, off board lighting and more. Stacking software will be covered in detail later. We will include images to give you ideas for subject. The images above were 9-20 shots with a 17-79 Sigma Lens and extention tube to get 1-2" from the plant on a focusing rail. The Zerene software combined all images so we could maintain DOF.
